At least 100 years ago I ran a website much like this one. Actually it was this one. I had a little section on the homepage dedicated to showing cool stuff I found online. In an effort to bring that back, I thought I'd just post up gigantic screenshots of sites I found cool. This is one of them.
Most of these “Sites of the Moment” will be actual sites. But not all of them have to be, like this one—the inaugural SotM. Simply, if I find it cool, I’ll feature it.
Whenever I watch TV, I sit and wonder about the talent behind some of the awesome commercials and identity spots out there. One of the first companies that I stumbled upon who created, for example, the current Cartoon Network identity spots was a firm called Brand New School.
Buck happens to be one of those companies that have created a slew of identities that I’ve seen over the past year or so, from the new Hundai “Think about it.” campaign to the NBA’s “Amazing” campaign.
To be specific, I’m featuring their 2008 logo reel, because I’m quite the fan of reels (and have constantly tried to come up with ways to make my own, to no avail of course); this being the first time I’ve run into a logo reel.

Definitely, same here. AE and 3D modeling are things I’ve tried before, but I’ll need a whole other me to actually have the time and mind capacity to do it. I have a great deal of respect for the people that can master that art.
Yeah, agreed. I’m playing with After Effects here and there (look ma, I can move a square!); but every time I pick up a 3D application I’m always tossing it 20 mins later. I have a hard time thinking in three dimensions. :/
